MindFun workshops are led by educator and author Lisa Combs, as she takes participants on an imaginary nature walk where they learn and practice a variety of mindfulness strategies including deep breathing, stretching, mindful movement exercises and positive visualization.
Mindfulness activities are used to focus one's awareness on the present moment, while calmly acknowledging and accepting one's feelings, thoughts, and bodily sensations, to promote a positive mental state and support overall wellness.
Workshops are 45 minutes to 1 hour long and can be delivered in person or virtually. Workshops can be tailored to any age, and can be provided for groups of up to 25 at a time, (Up to 2 supervising adults are allowed to participate without additional fees). One MindFun book, which provides instructions on continued implementation of the workshop activities, is included for one supervising adult with the price of the workshop, and additional books can be ordered for other supervising adults or workshop participants at $10.00 per book.
All workshops, virtual and onsite, require a responsible supervising adult to be present with minor participants throughout the entirety of the workshop.
